How long will it take for my carpet to dry?
The drying time for carpet can vary between 2 and 24 hours, depending on air flow in the room, humidity and carpet type.
How long do I have to wait after cleaning to let my children or pets on the carpet?
Activity on the carpet should be limited while drying but it may be walked upon with clean feet, clean socks or clean shoes while wet.
Will the cleaning agents used harm my children or pets?
Our basic cleaning solution is similar to a laundry detergent. As a general rule though, keep your children and pets from lying or playing on wet carpet.
How long will it take to clean my carpet?
It will take approximately 10-25 minutes per room. The time can vary depending on how dirty the carpet is, if there is any spot removal treatments needed or furniture to be moved.
Do I need to move my furniture before the cleaning crew arrives?
Yes/No. It is not necessary to move all furniture before cleaning. Some pieces such as book cases, entertainment centers, dressers, beds, etc. that always reside in the same place really don’t need to be moved. Furniture that is moved around due occasionally rearranging a room may be moved so that the carpet underneath can be cleaned. Please note that our crews do not move furniture. It is the customer’s responsibility to move furniture if needed. We do suggest you remove any breakable items from table tops, etc. prior to the start of cleaning.
Can water ruin my carpet?
No. Modern carpet technology is basically water resistant because of the material it is made of. The limited amount of water used in our cleaning process is 95% removed by our high powered vacuum.
Is it true that carpet cleaning makes my carpet soil faster? (The #1 myth of carpet cleaning!)
NO! With the modern cleaning equipment and methods used by Clean Carpet Professionals virtually all cleaning agents are rinsed out of your carpet so it will not attract dirt. All detergents/spotting agents are applied to the carpet before cleaning. Only hot, soft water runs through the carpet wand to rinse your carpets clean.
I am required to be home while my carpet is being cleaned?
It is not necessary that you be home while your carpet is cleaned because we are thoroughly trained professionals whom you can trust. In order to provide the best possible service, we recommend that someone be home before we begin cleaning to discuss any specific areas of concern regarding the care and cleaning of your carpet.
Can I have both my area rug and the carpet that it sits on cleaned at the same time?
Yes. However, the area rug cannot remain over the wet carpet to dry. The area rug must be taken to another area, such as outside or a clean solid surface, to dry.
What should I do if the stains that were cleaned reappear?
Most stains that are removed from carpet do not reappear but deep stains in carpet backing may wick back to the surface. If this should happen, call Clean Carpet Professionals for assistance.
